Tom Haines

Shape, Colour and Line are key elements in Haines' distinctive musical work. Tom's instinctive understanding of narrative, and his use of shifting interlocking motifs and patterns give his work a unique internal logic. Tom's compositional style is bold, fresh, and modern. Tom is a Partner and Director of Brains and Hunch Studios, a top flight audio post studio in central London. Brains and Hunch Studios have produced, scored and sound designed hundreds of TV projects, animated films and live shows over the past 20 years. Tom's non-commercial career spans John Cage performances on the BBC, a remix for Bjork, experimental scores for the National Theatre and RSC, as well as ongoing work in Art Cinema and Sound Art. Tom's band, the London Snorkelling Team (LST), is the official orchestra of the London Institute of 'Pataphysics.
