Dede Nickerson has been living in China for over 25 years and has been a leading pioneer in China's film industry. In 2015, Dede founded Infinity Pictures with China Media Capital. Infinity is producing both Chinese films and English language films for the global audience and working with leading talents. Dede also works with CMC building strategic partnerships and investing in the industry outside China. Prior to establishing Infinity Pictures, Dede was the Head of Production and Strategic Development at Sony Pictures China, where she produced Gone with the Bullets, Monk Comes down the Mountain, and Chinese remake of My Best Friend's Wedding. Before joining Sony Pictures, Dede produced the Chinese remake of What Women Want starring Andy Lau and Gong Li, served as an advisor to Dune Entertainment, and advised Paramount Digital Entertainment in developing and implementing the group's digital strategies in China. While at Miramax Films, Dede was responsible for acquisitions, co-productions and sales in the Asian region. Key projects she oversaw include: Hero, Shaolin Soccer, The Touch, Infernal Affairs and the licensing of the Shaw library. She also oversaw the productions of Kill Bill and was credited as associate producer. She was responsible for the distribution and sale of Miramax Films in China and other Asian territories and made several key remake acquisitions during her tenure. Prior to joining Warner Brothers, Dede worked as an associate in corporate finance with S.G. Warburg in Hong Kong working on the early H-share offerings. In addition to her career in film and investment, Dede has devoted significant time in addressing education and health care issues in China. Dede is the founder of Dandelion School and Board Director for Teach for China. She also helped with the initial establishment and program development for Special Olympics with China Disabled Persons' Foundation, and volunteered for Dr. Ling Feng in developing rehabilitation facilities. Dede graduated with a double major in Political Science and Chinese Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and was a Princeton in Asia fellow at the People's University in Beijing.
