Enrico de la Vega had always been searching for a groundbreaking way to present magic. When he couldn't find it, he invented it. An acclaimed illusionist, de la Vega co-founded the Magic X movement in 1996, a powerful teaming of the hottest, most talented young magicians and sleight-of-hand artists in the world performing the most innovative and mind-boggling magical effects. This led to the conception of "T.H.E.M. - Totally Hidden Extreme Magic," the world's first hidden-camera magic show where he was not only one of the stars, but also Co-Creator and Producer of the show as well. "T.H.E.M." aired on NBC and SciFi as two prime-time specials in June of 2004 and went on to be broadcast internationally. Enrico is also the Co-Creator and Co-Executive Producer on "Room 401". Yet another hidden-camera reality show which utilizes principles of magic, illusion, and live special effects to sweep unsuspecting onlookers into their own mini-horror movie. Enrico teamed up with Ashton Kutcher and his company Katalyst Films to bring "Room 401" to life on MTV. His sleight of hand helped launch the Samsung Blackjack, and he was the Magic Consultant for JC Penny's commercial ad campaign, "It's Magic." What most magicians would consider to be a late start, Enrico, who is of Filipino-Spanish-French-Portuguese descent, first fell in love with magic at the age of 9. A Los Angeles native, he continued honing his skills at the World Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, the mecca of magic and the home of the Academy of Magical Arts. Since then, de la Vega has become a distinguished illusionist and a well-respected magician in his field. He consults, creates, directs, and designs illusions for television, film, and other internationally acclaimed illusionists; most notably David Blaine for his ABC specials "Real or Magic" and "Beyond Magic", as well as Cyril Takayama, "magic's first cyber-celebrity" and recipient of the 2006 Academy of Magical Arts Magician of the Year Award. Enrico is the Executive Magic Consultant and Creative Consultant on the majority of Cyril's Japanese TV magic specials and live touring shows, as well as his consultant and co-creator of the magical effects which Cyril performed in David Mamet's feature film "Redbelt". Traveling literally all over the globe with his own unique style of illusion, Enrico de la Vega is constantly seeking to transform tradition and elevate perceptions of his and other designs of performance art.
