Brian Goetz is known for Jagged (2021), White Hot: The Rise & Fall of Abercrombie & Fitch (2022), Get Me Roger Stone (2017), and The China Hustle (2017). Goetz began his career editing commercials, notably for Samuel Adams, Google, New Balance, and Beyoncé. In an interview about The Brink at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, Goetz told Film Festival Filmmaker Magazine "Picture Wrapped in Early November and We Had a Cut by Mid-December." Brian was born in Johnson City, New York and grew up in Endicott, New York. He graduated from Union-Endicott High School, graduating in 1998. He is a December 2002 graduate of the Media Studies Department, with a minor in Architecture, at the University at Buffalo. Brian completed a one-semester internship in New York City in the script writing department of NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien TV show. He also has worked for the NY Governor's Film Office in Manhattan.
