Maribeth was born in Galveston, Texas. She moved to Cullowhee, North Carolina when she was 4 years old and lived there until she was 23. She was raised in the theatre. Received her BFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her father opened the famed Strand Street Theatre in 1979. At the age of 3 she did her first national commercial and has been involved in film and theatre ever since.
