In just a few years, Yvonne Delarosa has risen to be one of the most sought-after Latina actresses in Hollywood. Jimmy Smits heralded her as part of "the new wave of Latino artists" when she was awarded the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts Scholarship by Esai Morales, Jimmy Smits, and Sônia Braga. Delarosa is truly a heart stopping vision. Her visage and style has been compared to that of Salma Hayek, Sônia Braga and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Delarosa began studying theater at age 5, graduated from Hollywood Performing Arts High School and received her B.A. degree in directing from UCLA's film school as well as just recently earning her Masters degree in screen writing from UCLA. She has studied acting with high profile acting teachers including the renowned, Jeff Corey, film and television actor famed for being one of the top acting teachers in America, whose A-list of actors included James Dean, Jack Nicholson, Robin Williams and Cher to name a few.
