Gabriel Díaz is a director, cinematographer, editor, actor and musician. With more than 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, Diaz has shot film, television and advertising, in different renowned international productions. Among the TV series he has directed, "Bala Loca (2016)" (2016) and "El Presidente (2020)" (Prime Video) stand out. As director of photography and camera, he has worked with award-winning directors such as Sebastián Lelio, Sebastián Silva, Matías Bize, Pablo Larraín, Valeria Sarmiento and renowned documentary filmmaker Ignacio Agüero. His latest feature films as cinematographer are "The Punishment (2022)" (Chile - Argentina) by Matías Bize, Best Film at Beijing International Film Festival, and "Rotting in the Sun (2023)" (USA - Mexico) by Sebastián Silva, premiered as World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival. Gabriel has edited the feature films "Rotting in the Sun (2023)" and "Old Cats (2010)" (2010) by Sebastian Silva. He directed and co-wrote the short film "Gravity (2020)" (Japan), for Kensaku Kakimoto's "+81FILM" project, which brings together productions from Mongolia and the UK. As second unit director, he participated in "No (2012)", a Pablo Larraín's film nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film; the series "Fugitives (2011)" (HBO), also directed by Larraín, and "El Refugio (2022)" (Lionsgate), co-produced by Mexico and Chile and directed by Pablo Fendrik.
