Dario Ceruti was born in Borgo San Giacomo (Italy). Since he was 16 years old he approached the theater with a local company. After a master's degree in Communication and a specialization in advertising and on direction he managed to start working on a feature film, in connection and as assistant for different directors such as Paolo Virzi ("Caterina in the Big City", "The First Beautiful Thing"), Francesca Archibugi, Marco Tullio Giordana, Lucio Pellegrini, Eugenio Cappuccio, Walter Veltroni, Sabina Guzzanti etc. During the last 5 years he is often invited by the italian school for cinematography in Rome and by the fine arts school in Florence (Centro sperimentale di cinematografia and Accademia di Belle Arti) to take lessons on acting. On 2010 he won the a prize "Sanpietrino d'oro" as best casting director for "The First Beautiful Thing" and the following year the award "A Life for the cinema." He recently collaborated with Paolo Virzi the organization of events for the opening and closing of the 31 and 32 th Torino Film Festival.
