Ricardo was born on February 27, 1981. He grew up in a small California town called Hollister, where he was a 4 year football letterman and the Editor of the Spanish section of the high school's newspaper. One of his first jobs while in high school was at the local mom & pops video store. He worked there when DVD's first released. A Blockbuster opened across the street, running his store out of business and ending one of his most fun jobs. His senior year, he then worked at the local movie theater. Looking back now it was only natural that the next step was to end up working in Hollywood. During his childhood he moved a lot. He has lived in 5 different states in Mexico, Southern and Northern California, El Paso Texas and NYC. He graduated from San Jose State University in 2003 with a degree in Public Relations. While in school he would help his friends make films, one of which won a Northern California Emmy. After college he was accepted to intern for President Clinton in his New York office. In 2007, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of having his own late night show; however, his passion for storytelling took him behind the scenes of TV and Film instead. Since 2008, Ricardo has been a TV Producer of Emmy winning shows and is also an award winning independent filmmaker. His work has ranged from reality television series, digital shows, clip shows, news shows, true crime shows and talk shows for major networks such as Sony, NBC, Discovery, ABC, Hallmark, Fox Sports 1 and Warner Bros. His first short film "Flashing (2014)" was accepted to various film festivals domestically and internationally. His sophomore film shot entirely in Rome, Italy "Ciao, Isabella (2018)," also made the festival run. His award winning short film, shot on an iPhone, "Forever Allie (2020)" was in the festival circuit along with his film "Little Staph Infection (2020)" which was completed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
