Michael Kingsbaker

Michael Kingsbaker grew up in Aurora, Colorado. He co-founded The Shelter in New York City in 2009, a family of theatre artists creating and developing new works for the New York stage. He served both as The Shelter's Co-Artistic Director as well as Moderator for its weekly workshop from 2009-2019. He was a member of 2013 Labyrinth Theatre Intensive Ensemble mentored by Stephen Adly Guirgis. He is also a member of Academy Award Winning Screenwriter Bobby Moresco's Actor's Gym. Along with his work in theatre and film, Michael also works as a photographer. He enjoys most shooting live music, especially annually at The Newport Folk Festival.
