Tony Bracy, a Writer/Producer/Director from Los Angeles with an extensive background in theater; since 1988, "Bracy" (as his friends refer to him) has been the stage or production manager for over 60 theater productions and he received one NAACP Theater Nomination for "Best Lighting Design" in 2000. Bracy had been the Resident Stage Manager for Amazing Grace Conservatory in South Central Los Angeles for 20 years where young people from the ages of 7 to 21 have participated in fabulous musical production such as "The WIZ", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Lil Abner", "West Side Story", "Oliver", "It's a Wonderful Life, Ain't It?", "Guys and Dolls" and "Grease" among others. "AGC is one of the most Amazing organizations I could have become involve with because everything there is about developing the young people as students, entertainers and people." In 2003, choosing to rekindle his first love-movies-he formed the production company Brace Yourself! "Films of Zion". In that time Tony Bracy has produced 12 films, 8 of of which he has written. The Program has helped 8 first time movie directors to realize their dream. Brace Yourself! movies have been winners in the Key West, Telluride International, Mid Atlantic Black Film Festival and Cinema Mostra AIDS in San Pablo Brazil. Finalists for the PRAI (Paul Robeson Initiative Award) in Ghana Africa, The International Film Festival in Dresden Germany, American Black Film Festival and Hollywood Black Film Festival among others; The films Bracy has written have also been featured in programs on several Television Networks including a world wide broadcast to over 98 million homes as a part of the Trinity Broadcasting Network's Easter Week Celebration. Tony states his goal is "to produce 'slice of life' movies which touch the soul and uplift the spirit." and his mission is 3 fold --- to Edify, to Educate and to Entertain.
