Gillian Mosely is a multi-award-winning writer, producer and executive producer with an impressive track record in creating, developing and producing high-end factual programming for both UK and international broadcasters. After nearly ten years of working for production companies such as Fulcrum Television and Cicada Films, she established her own company - Medialab UK - in 2006. Gillian set about creating a new type of business model for the industry, specializing in developing and selling factual programme ideas and eight years on she has an impressive list of production credits to her name, including the BAFTA and RTS award-winning Mummifying Alan (Channel 4) and New Secrets of the Terracotta Warriors (Channel 4, Arte, Nova, Phoenix TV). Prior to working in TV Gillian was a freelance journalist, researching and writing articles for a range of publications including The Sunday Times and Marie Claire. The ability to both spot and craft interesting stories has held her in good stead throughout her career and is now providing an excellent foundation for recent developments which include producing theatrical/feature-length documentaries and creating her own drama series. Before embarking on a career in story-telling Gillian travelled the world and held a range of interesting jobs - everything from care assistant, Avon Lady and burger-flipper at McDonalds, to working for fashion designers and a photographer's agent. Always entrepreneurial, she has also helped establish both a nightclub and a successful restaurant and has a wide range of interests that stretch from yoga and politics to being a Committee member for the Friends of the Petrie Museum of Archaeology. Gillian has BA in Philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley and with her dual US/UK citizenship has made her home in London.
