Francesco Pompilio was born in Pescara, in 1977. After his high school diploma in classical studies, he graduated in Communication at the University of Trieste, where he started his acting studies. In Trieste, he began his career as theatre actor and took part as a special background actor in the TV series "Marcinelle" (2002) and "Soraya" (2003). He moved to Rome in 2003 to attend the theatre academy 'Accademia Scaletta'. He worked in several plays and short films and in 2010 he obtained a minor part in the TV series "La ladra" (Rai Uno) and in the miniseries "Italia allo specchio" (Rai Due). From 2011 to 2014, while working as an actor, he also worked as a radio presenter with a programme on Ecoradio and then on Radio Popolare Roma, both as an author and presenter. He took part in several commercials (Fox Crime, Pasta Garofalo, Alitalia, Kraft) and theatre productions. He won the Best Actor award at the 'Ettore Petrolini' festival with the show Dieci in 2008 and at the '48 hours Film Festival 2013' for the short film "Non smettere di amare" in 2013. In 2018, he obtained a minor part in the TV drama "Il paradiso delle signore". He worked with actors and directors such as Giorgio Colangeli, Ennio Coltorti, Teo Bellia, Daniele Monterosi and Alessandro Prete. In 2021, he was casted in the TV series "Prisma", produced Amazon Studios and Cross Productions and directed by Ludovico Bessegato. That same year he acted in "The Talented Mister Ripley" directed by Steven Zaillian.
