Shane Houston

Writer, Producer, Director, SHANE HOUSTON started his career on the theatrical stage appearing in celebrated theatrical works of "Marvin's Room", "Biloxi Blues", and "Equus". Television soon followed ("Joan of Arcadia" and "Boston Public" ) as well as film("Grandma's Boy", "Sky High" and the award winning independent film "Anderson's Cross"). Following a new-found curiosity, talent and appreciation for the creative on the other side of the camera, the natural progression to writing, directing and producing soon followed. Now a triple threat Shane wrote, directed and starred in the period supernatural thriller "Tsavo Island". He followed that with the dark comedy "Just a Game". Showing no signs of slowing down, he also debuted his first stage project in 2010: a murder, mystery, musical, comedy "On the Air" which ran at the Whitefire Theater in Los Angeles. The Show had sold out performances for its entire 8 week run and was reviewed as being "smart, bright and uproariously funny", and "Funny and entertaining". His works have been said to have a bold since of style and a courageous attitude. Shane uses his unique abilities as an award winning Motion Graphic and Visual Effects Artist to push the realm of possibilities and lift the boundaries that sometimes inhibit younger, and less experienced directors. This has never been more prevalent as with his latest project, the highly anticipated original web-based comedy series "Acting Out".
