Marlon Quintero is an International Emmy nominated Television Producer and a Creative and Strategic Global Executive with experience in the creation, development, production and commissioning of media content ensuring innovation, competitiveness, organizational development, brand positioning, audience success, value creation, and growth. Throughout his career he has established strong relationships with the international creative community, mastered his managerial and strategic skills to implement solid innovative creative processes for the development and production of Fiction and non-Fiction Programming. After more than 18 years of work experience, he has led and been involved in the production of more than 4,500 hours of TV Programming in all genres, all day parts for different target audiences and channels. In 2012, Marlon Quintero launched CIC Media, a consulting and media production firm, focusing in content innovation management, production and training. Through this initiative he is interested in continuing implementing the value chain of innovation model he designed for media content creation to ensure creativity, innovation and the proliferation of successful media content for multiple digital TV platforms in the media industry. Marlon performed as Vice President of Development and Programming Scripted - Worldwide for Sony Pictures Television working on the roll out of the scripted production strategy to develop and support new creative, production and business opportunities in the Global market for Sony Pictures Television, which includes operations in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Asia, Brazil and Latam. Marlon Quintero joined SPT in 2006 as Vice President of Development and Current Programs overseeing the creative and production operation actively running in Latin America and the US Hispanic Market. During his tenure, Quintero was responsible for the adaptation of Comedy Series "Los Simuladores" (The Pretenders) for Mexico's Televisa, which earned an International Emmy Nomination as Best Comedy Series in 2010. He shepherded the adaptation of Spain's Comedy Series "Aqui No hay Quien Viva" for Argentina, Colombia and Chile and oversaw the adaptation of "The Nanny" in Mexico. He was the executive in charge of hit telenovelas "El Zorro: La Espada y La Rosa" (Zorro: The Sword and the Rose) and "Dona Barbara" in the US and "La Pola" in Colombia, among others. Marlon was responsible for all creative and production aspects of Nickelodeon's "ISA TKM and ISA TK+", the first original telenovelas ever made for a cable channel and turned SPE's film "Ninas Mal" (Bad Girls) into a ratings success and first Teleseries for MTV Latin America. He also led the development and production of original weekly one hour comedy series "Los Caballeros las Prefieren Brutas" (Gentlemen Prefer them Dumb) for Sony Entertainment Television, which ran for two successful seasons (60 eps). Prior to joining SPT, Quintero had been Director of Programming Development for Univision Networks since 2003, where he was instrumental in implementing and managing all aspects of Univision's development process from conception to completion of TV programming in all genres. He created, developed and produced celeb-reality series "Lo Veremos Todo" (We will see it all), the most successful original TV Series in Hispanic US in the year 2004 and also supervised the first weekly Drama Series ever produced by Univision: "Al Filo de la Ley" (At the Edge of the Law). Quintero also created the most successful reality beauty competition in the history of Hispanic TV "Nuestra Belleza Latina" (Latin Beauty) and his expertise was crucial in the design of fiction programs and high rated specials such as "Premio Lo Nuestro", "Premios Juventud" and "Selena Vive". Marlon joined Univision from Televen Corporation in Venezuela, where he served as Director of Image and Promotions from 1998-2000 and then as Director of Production from 2000-2002. He first succeeded in energizing Televen's brand positioning and leading his team to obtain 4 Promax Awards for excellency in on-air promotions. He then reshaped the entire production operation and creative development process, launching new TV shows and revamping programs already on-air. Marlon led the production and development for drama series, talk shows, variety shows, reality shows, game shows and an original sitcom. Highlights include the creation of Televen's most successful prime time game show "Futuro Seguro" (Certain Future), and the creative supervision of the highly rated and country's first weekly original one hour-drama series ever shot in film "Los Ultimos" (The Last Ones). Earlier in his career he worked for Disney Channel's series "The Famous Jett Jackson" (1998), Galan Entertainment (1998), Los Angeles based post-production facility Sunset Post (1997), 20th Century Fox's sitcom "Getting Personal" (1997) and Columbia's "Party of Five" (1996). He performed as Head of Production Processes Control and Producer at RCTV in Venezuela in 1994-1995. Quintero is an Industrial Engineer with a Master of Arts in Television Production obtained with honors at San Francisco State University and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, where he concentrated studies in Entertainment, Marketing and International Business.
