Patty's been a pioneer in SD video production since she joined Crystal Pyramid Productions in 1982. Through four decades in the industry, she's donned many hats & excelled as Producer, Editor, Sound Tech, Voice Over, Still Photographer, Teleprompter Operator & Writer. She's also served as CFO, Office Manager & Social Media Maven. Through her efforts, CPP, San Diego's longest-serving video production company, has enjoyed status at the top of search engine rankings ever since late 1990's. Throughout the Covid lock down when events disappeared and there was no video production work, Patty secured several grants and loans to keep the company alive. She also helped to secure two military video productions, the Decommissioning of the USS Bonhomme Richard for the U.S. Navy, and the 2021 State of the U.S. Coast Guard Address with Commandant Karl Schultz. Patty's philanthropy began as a young teen: Candy Striper at Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital & intern at Head Start program. She creates videos pro Bono for various causes: protecting Mission Trails from a power plant, electing an environmental Santee City Councilman, Girls Think Tank, and women's & community issues. She spent a year producing and editing pro Bono multi-award-winning video "The Invisible Ones: Homeless Combat Veterans," which shines a light on homeless combat veterans. She's served as Vice President on San Carlos Area Council for many years & performs as its Social Media maven, penning the monthly Mission Times Courier column about San Carlos. In recognition of her service to our community, Assemblywoman Shirley Weber awarded her "Business Woman of the Year in 2019." And in 2021, our Councilman Raul Campillo presented Patty Mooney and Mark Schulze with a Special Commendation for their community service. Patty's an educational video pioneer who produced the first instructional massage video, "Massage For Relaxation" (1985) sold around the world by PCH, Sears & other distributors. She's known as the grandmother of Extreme Sports videos. Patty and Mark produced the world's first instructional mountain biking title, The Great Mountain Biking Video (1987), Ultimate Mountain Biking, Battle at Durango & Full Cycle: A World Odyssey. At 66 she still rides her mountain bike in the local outback & inspires women in the video production field.
