In an era predominantly presenting movies with extreme sex, language and redundant style of film making there are those who stand out from the crowd preserving the classic & original style of movie making as are the film creations of K.Raj Srivastava. He is the owner and President of Digital Artist Films. Mr. Srivastava had set aside all inhibitions when he moved from the field of Science to the field of Art without subjecting himself to the institutional microcosm, not attending any University or College in the pursuit of his visions. Born in New Delhi, India to an upper middle class family of artists and singers, early on in childhood K. Raj had his eyes set on a career in N.A.S.A wanting to become an astronomer. However he opted to follow in the artistic footsteps of his late father, Nardenra Kumar Srivastava in also becoming active in making painting and art. N K Srivastava, his father was a professionally well accomplished "Fine Artist" and was among the first in his community and family to be able to generate a sizable amount of wealth, making more than a million dollars through his art and paintings back in 1970s when it was fairly difficult for any artist to attain a break through. In 1993 K. Raj came to United States with his family and settled into the new lifestyle under the beautiful California sun. There, he encountered the world of Hollywood, in the likes of Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg. K. Raj continued his primary studies and did well before entering high school, at which point his interests overwhelmingly diverged from his studies to one that was strongly leaning towards movies. After barely graduating high school he eagerly wanted to delve into the field of acting but didn't have much direction until he took the advice of one of his uncle and his grandfather. They had suggested working behind the camera rather than in front of the camera, which holds powerful significance in the film world. Thereafter, K. Raj took a film-editing class in Irvine Valley College, where he discovered a new meaning to his life, soul and passion. Once he knew how to digitally edit any kind of analog or digital footage K. Raj went on a rampage and made 28 short films within 2 years before moving on to his first feature "Losing Orbit and "Anokha" His goal is not just to move into the world of Hollywood but actually create his own studio and distribution company where he can have complete say, having full control over his projects, like his idols "Yash Chopra and Steven Spielberg". Since becoming a prodigy of digital film making, K. Raj took his artistic background along with his rebirth in digital filmmaking, giving his company the name "Digital Artist Films". Currently K. Raj Srivastava is producing, directing, writing and editing his own feature length films, alongside of writing a story book for young adults and a book on religion and its depth which are set to released in late 2006 or 2007. He is also set to do an internship at JPL Pasadena where he will learn more on the "Humars" project that will send humans on the red planet possibly in 2015.
