Spike Michaels wanted to be a movie director ever since, at the age of 9, he saw a behind the scenes photo of George Lucas giving Mark Hamill direction on the Tatooine set of Star Wars :A New Hope. However, he soon found himself strapped into a chair with his eyeballs clipped open, like in A Clockwork Orange, forced to watch a never ending stream of "hugging and learning" sitcoms as well as sticky sweet "romantic comedies". Spike MIchaels (that's his real name) was therefore forced into coming up with some very substantial alternatives...hence the creation of an original style of writing and directing: Tech Noir. Fast faced, hi-tech, futuristic and hyper on the "action violence" with elements of sci-fi, action, horror, and flashes of smart-alec, macabre humor. Spike takes a wide-ranging set of influences (everything from Motley Crue, Van Halen and Guns N' Roses to Quention Tarantino, Brian DePalma, and Martin Scorsese, as well as The Marvel MCU and the Mob) and smashes them into a potent and very lethal Molotov cocktail. Having lived and worked in both MAnhattan, NYC and Hollywood, CA before the age of 30, Spike MIchaels takes his influences and life experiences and wears them proudly on his sleeve: Top 10 IMTA Male Talent 1999. Writer of 5 full-length feature scripts (Hottie Danger, Darling Kill, The Girl With Violet Eyes, Narcotic Sunshine and Iris), writer/ director of 3 shorts (Strike, Trixie Mayhem! and Get Tony Scarboni), former acting instructor and recording artist (his band On The Roxx had a regional hit single on Z-Rock back in the early 90's). Spike MIchaels is a true artist who lives, eats, breathes and sleeps his work. He's not here to challenge, you, or enlighten you, or educate you...He's here to entertain you. Are you not entertained??!!!
