Iain Overton is a British documentary maker born on 3rd August, 1973. He mainly works for the BBC and has filmed in over 35 countries around the world -including Somaliland, Nagorno Karabakh and Taiwan. Educated at Downing College and Gonville & Caius, Cambridge, Iain Overton's film work has won him a BAFTA Scotland, a Prix Circom and a One World award, amongst others. In 2002, he uncovered new historical evidence which identified Harry Banks as a Canadian soldier who had been crucified in Belgium during the First World War.
