The composer, guitarist, singer and songwriter Daniel Puente Encina was Born in Santiago de Chile. By the time he was four, his biggest dream was a guitar to be his best ally but he had to wait until his twelfth birthday his father gave in and gave him a guitar and an hour's class. That was how his exciting and unusual career started. As a teenager Daniel formed the rebellious post-punk group Los Pinochet Boys, which is currently a legendary band and a symbol of the 80s generation in Chile, for which they would be unofficially forced to leave the country by the military regime. Daniel traveled through Brazil, Argentina, Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Hamburg, which resulted in a new band: Ninos Con Bombas. The band had outstanding tours throughout the USA, South America and Europe. In Germany, they are particularly known for their successful concerts as the supporting band for Einstuerzende Neubauten. In 1995, Ninos Con Bombas received the John Lennon Talent Award (JLTA). Since 2000, Daniel performs and produces under the name Polvorosa. Many of his songs can be heard in Fatih Akin's films such as "Short Sharp Shock / Kurz und Schmerzlos" (1998), "In July" / "Im Juli" (2000) and his multi-award winning film "Head On / Gegen die Wand". In 2005, Daniel released Polvorosa's album Radical Car Dance.
