Jose Alba is an independent producer and distributor. An economist specializing in Marketing and Graphic Design, he has a European Master's in Audiovisual Management from the MEDIA Business School, has participated on TAREULA (MEDIA Mundus) in Miami and in the LATC US Film Industry Immersion in Los Angeles in 2011. In 2015 Jose Alba is selected by Variety as one of the 10 Rising Stars of Spanish Cinema. In 2018 receives the Silver Biznaga to Best Producer from Malaga Cinema Awards at 21st Malaga Film Festival. Cinema in Spanish and the ASFAAN Award to Movie Production. Jose has participated in numerous feature films, producing or distributing a dozen of them and has had the honor to work with international talents as James D'Arcy (Dunkirk), María Valverde (Exodous), Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean), Burn Gorman (Pacific Rim), Samuel LeBian (Le Pacte des Loups), Nora Tschirner (Kebab Connection); and Spanish Talents as Lola Dueñas, Anna Castillo, Ingrid García-Jonsson, Carmen Machi, Hugo Silva, Ernesto Sevilla, Carlos Areces, Eduard Fernández or Luis Tosar, between many others. One of his latest productions, "Gernika", directed by Koldo Serra, was Premiere in April 26th, 2016, bombing anniversary, at Festival de Cine Español de Málaga. "Gernika" is a 6 million euros production, co-financed and worldwide released by Sony Pictures. To be released in 2018, "Viaje Alrededor del Cuarto de una Madre" is Celia Rico Clavelino's debut. The project, selected to participate at Berlinale Talents 2015, is an international co-production between Spain and France. Always looking for new talents, Jose is preparing the next movies of the Goya® Award Nominated Fernando García-Ruíz Rubio (Como yo te amo); Alexis Morante, also Goya® Award Nominated (Bla Bla Bla); David R.L., "New Vision Award" Nominated at Santa Bárbara Int. Film Fest. and the German writer and director Kathrin Frank, who participated with her short movie "La moza y el cocinero" at Cannes Short Film Corner.
