Dawn Walters was born and raised in Northern California, where she performed in her first play at the age of six. She has traveled extensively and has lived in Northern Ireland, Belgium, and Poland. She developed a love for dance as a young adult and continues to make lyrical jazz classes a regular part of her life. One of Walters's first professional roles was playing the victim girl in the world premiere of "Dead Man Walking," directed by Joe Mantello, at the San Francisco Opera. Distinguished theater credits include playing the title role of Annie Sullivan in "The Miracle Worker," at Sierra Madre Playhouse. She studied acting at the Bennett TheatreLab, has taken classes at Ivana Chubbuck Studio, and interned at Marin Shakespeare Company. Having worked in film, television, and theater productions throughout California, Walters now considers Los Angeles her home.
