After being stuck in an animal shelter for a long time, Rowdy was finally adopted. Chosen for his unique looks Rowdy was adopted and immediately entered into the Hollywood acting world. After several rejections, he was chosen to play the dog form of Eddie McDowd in the Nickelodeon comedy series '100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd' based on his unique coat colors and glowing white eyes, producer of the show said he could see wisdom and life in Rowdy's eyes, perfect for playing the animal counterpart of a human child. In 2008/9 Rowdy was featured in a UK television program from the BBC called 'Animals at Work', showing what its like being a famous animal. Sources say that Rowdy is still living and working in the US.
