Enrique Collar is a screenwriter and audiovisual artist. Born in Paraguay in 1964. He emigrated to Argentina in 1971. Graduated from the National Fine Arts Manuel Belgrano School of Buenos Aires in 1988. Since 1989 performs solo and group exhibitions participating in international art events such as the BP Portrait Award, London. He gets the First Prize for Painting of the Foundation of the Arts and artists of Spain 2010. It reaches the film through painting. He writes, directs and produces his works from content of experimental film, documentary and fiction. In 2001 he shot his first film in Paraguay. This film had its world premiere at the Festival of Cinema and Culture of Asuncion in November 2002 and was released in two cinemas in the city of Asuncion in June 2003 and traveled some 20 international film festivals. Novena ends in 2010, his second feature in Paraguay who won the SICA Award (best film) of the Latin American Competition of Mar del Plata International Film Festival 2010 and has been traveling 12 International Film Festivals and teams participating in official competitions . In December 2011 he writes "The Dozen" 12 decisions for the construction of a cinema "inside out". Currently he is preparing his third Paraguayan feature film entitled.
