Erahm Machado was born into a farming family in Northern California. The first to step away from the dirt, he developed his deep work ethic in the fields and his passion for the arts on the stage. After completing a B.A. in Theatre on an acting scholarship at Santa Clara University, his young adult life irrevocably changed when his older brother Christopher was killed in a tractor accident. Broken by this loss, Erahm changed his professional last name to Christopher to honor his brother and carry his spirit forward in his work. Following this tragedy, Erahm moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and served as a part-time location supervisor for commercials, television and feature films. After only a short time acting he accepted a job at CBS where he worked in the Business Affairs department on pilots, specials and series shows such as Survivor and Judging Amy. He was soon recruited to manage vFive, a boutique design firm in San Francisco, where he produced print, web, motion, video, and branding projects for clients including Epson, Billabong, and Oxygen. In three years time his work won design awards, was published in the book, Simple Designs, and the global consulting firm Icon Media Lab acquired the firm he helped develop. In early 2000, Erahm transitioned his focus to film when he attended the prestigious Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema in Montreal, Canada where he graduated with honors and a specialization in directing. Upon his graduation, he launched the educational program Teen Truth through Horizon Intertainment, LLC, a company he co-founded. In the five years following film school Erahm produced and directed three award winning Teen Truth films, an operatic film for Bravo!, co-authored and published the book, Teen Truth: Why Youth Have Something to Hide, and conceptualized a live experience that has reached nearly 2 million people worldwide. Over six million people have seen his critically acclaimed Teen Truth series and he has traveled the globe speaking to 500,000 people in schools, government agencies and corporations. After seven years of working with youth, Erahm wrote and directed his feature debut, Listen, a raw drama inspired by his work.
