Anita was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Mexico City, Mexico. At age 14 she moved to California to study at Idyllwild Arts Academy. She later attended California Institute of the Arts before moving back to Mexico where she appeared in several soap operas and did voice-over work for Televisa. She now dedicates her time to writing and is the author of 10 children's books. "The Magical Balloons," "The Little Lost Truck," "Africa Meets India," "Miss Pearly White," "One Step at a Time," "Oscar and the Zoo," "Poor Little Pluto," "The Tale of Five Tails," "Desiree in Disarray," and "Zippy the Train."
