This not so southern girl was born May 17, 1984 and raised in New Orleans, LA. Although she grew up in the deep south, Skylar never developed the common accent it is still known for till this day. She always felt she was different and meant for bigger things than this southern city could provide, even in her teens. Trained in dance from a very young age, Skylar learned that her heart and passions belonged on the stage. She developed a clear picture of the path she was meant to walk in life. In high school, she began training in film making, and began her path in acting shortly there after. After graduation, she became a permanent cast member at a top club on Bourbon Street. Skylar did this for years, as it satisfied her need to be on the stage. She worked as a film actress in her spare time, and eventually landed a small part in the feature "Waiting" 2005, starring Ryan Reynolds. Skylar eventually moved on to producing her own show amongst 3 different nightclubs in the French Quarter. Skylar Then decided to further her education, in an attempt to better her craft as an actress, she attended Full Sail University and finished with a degree in Film Production. Shortly after graduation, she began working behind the scenes and attempting to balance it with her work on screen, as well as her club performing. Skylar got a little burnt out on the Entertainment industry, and chose that moment in 2012, to make good on her bucket list promise and join the U.S. Air Force. She was a Structural Engineer, stationed in the panhandle of bright and sunny Florida. There she lived through her enlistment until she was medically discharged after 3 years of service. Skylar is now back and working in the Entertainment Industry, as a writer and an actress, constantly working to pick right back up where she left off.
