Tiffany Griffin was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana in October of 1971. She attended Lawrence Central High School where she was very active in their dramatic efforts. She performed in all productions produced at her high school from the capacity of actor, to director and sometimes stage manager. She was also active in her schools show choir and cheer leading squads and speech teams. Upon graduation from high school she attended Millikin University in Decatur, where she majored in Theater. She attended Millikin University and worked with another great Millikin Alumni, Hedy Burress in her time there. Upon her receiving her BFA in Theater, she went on to intern with the illustrious St. Louis Black Repertory Theater Company in St. Louis, Missiouri. It was here she honed her acting craft while performing original premiere works in the award-winning touring company as well as the main-stage theater. Her work in the world premiere production of Urban Transitions: Loose Blossoms garnered her a Woodie Award nomination. After 3 years in St. Louis, she moved on to Chicago to further pursue her theater career and it was here that she worked on her first feature film, Vacant Lot, while also working on Chicago's many live theater stages. And once again her work in the world premiere of the play The Sisters from Belzoni garnered her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Black Theater Alliance Association.
