Hans Raith pronounced (rite), was born April 16, 1961 in Munich, Germany. As a child he was an avid athlete. He participated in a variety of sports ranging from soccer to boxing. At the age of 14 Hans decided to pursue a career in boxing. By the age of 18 he earned the coveted title of Germany's Middleweight Boxing Champion. Within a year he was drafted into the German military where he joined an elite Special Forces unit. The many years of specialized training and discipline taught in the military prepared Hans for his next challenges, Bodybuilding, Power-lifting and Strong Man competitions. Hans went on to compete professionally and become the 3rd strongest man in Germany. His desire for more exposure led him to the United States. While at the gym Hans received a phone call that changed his life. The call was from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno asking him to appear as a guest on the show. It was then, his first television appearance, that he discovered a love for performing. Hans has co-starred in hit television shows such as, Desperate Housewives, Happy Endings, Criminal Minds, Entourage, Scrubs and Jimmy Kimmel Live. His feature credits include, Dodge Ball starring Ben Stiller, A Thousand Words starring Eddie Murphy and The Longest Yard starring Adam Sandler. Hans is well versed in the art of stunt and stage fighting and is currently studying acting at Steve Eastin Studio in Burbank, California. Personally, Hans enjoys traveling, fitness and home remodeling. Although Hans lives in Los Angeles, he and his wife Tiffany travel often to Germany to visit family; including his mother Franziska, brother Walter, daughter Nicole and son-in-law Martin. Hans also enjoys being a grandfather to adorable Nadine and Lucas.
