Brian Mather

Brian grew up in Littleton, Colorado, along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. He graduated from high school full of overconfidence with aspirations to serve as an officer in the military. After failing out of the school of engineering at CU Boulder and losing a prized AFROTC (Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps) scholarship, his confidence was shattered. Within a year, he bounced back into college at Metro State in Denver. While studying history, he took a few acting classes. In December, 2001, Brian finished his degree and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force. Six months later, Brian faced the biggest crossroads of his life. While in training to operate nuclear missiles (ICBM's), he put his career in jeopardy by being one of the very few of his peers to openly admit his moral reservations against the possible use of nuclear weapons. He was Honorably Discharged in June, 2002.
