Born Robert Edward Toevs, Robert Mason grew up in the woods of Washington state until his parents' divorce landed him, with his mother and brother, in his mom's hometown of Springfield, Tennessee. Robert spent much of his time performing in high school plays and with the local theater group. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in film studies and soon moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he began acting professionally. He then decided to try the east coast, and moved to Boston, where he has performed with ImprovBoston and The City That Sleeps, a sketch comedy group he helped found. Robert moved to Nashville, Tennessee in September 2007,and is in post-production on WIPED, a DV short he wrote, produced, and directed while in Boston.
