Allie Brown Torgan is a Producer for CNN's award-winning "CNN Heroes" campaign and a former producer for Harpo Productions, MTV Networks and Mark Burnett Productions. She is an Emmy and Peabody award winner and the recipient of the Maria Moors Cabot Prize for "Help for Haiti Now," and an Entertainment Media Award from the Muslim Public Affairs Council. Allie is the recipient of a 2019 and 2020 President's Volunteer Service Award. She holds a B.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and studied Film and Production at New York University. She has extensive domestic and international production experience, including working in, or with teams in Haiti, Mexico, Nepal, Vietnam, India, Nicaragua, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Africa, and The Middle East on documentary projects. She has more than 20 years of experience creating, producing and developing on-air and online content and executing large events and productions. Allie serves as an Emmy Awards Judge for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
