Thomas Gibson was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. He is a product of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale film program. He began his career as a freelance writer for the St. Louis Post Dispatch in 1993. On the heels of the release of the "Vixen Manual," the third book written by video vixen, Karrine Steffans, director Thomas Gibson released the highly-anticipated DVD documentary "Kiss and Tail: The Hollywood Jump Off," narrated by syndicated radio/talk show host Wendy Williams on July 15, 2009. He also directed the award winning feature documentary "Letter to the President," that was released worldwide on DVD through Image Entertainment. Gibson also served as a segment producer on the Emmy award-nominated television docu-drama series, the E! True Hollywood Story; created and executive produced the #1 primetime TV show on BET, How I'm Livin; and produced DVD projects for recording artists Chingy, Snoop Dogg, Faith Evans and Mack 10. His productions credits include The Filmmakers Library-distributed documentary "Bloody Island" about race and labor riots in East St. Louis, Il in 1917. After which, he has since served as producer, director and executive producer on numerous programs in television, film and home video projects. Currently, the versatile producer has finished his first season as executive producer of the international hit television show the "Diamond Life" and producer on the popular primetime series "BET Style." Thomas is also directing a new documentary featured titled "Who Shot Ya."
