Andrea Pennington

Andrea '1Dreah' Pennington is an American actress, singer, TV producer and author. As an actress, she boasts impressive stage, television and independent film credits. 1Dreah is in production (Nov. 2012) on a TV series called "Blues in the Night" with award-winning writer/director, Tim Reid. In this urban noire telenovela, she plays the lead role of Lura, a lounge singer who is determined to succeed at nearly any price. On her quest for fame, Lura, visits a variety of cities, states and countries, which all give 1Dreah the ability to showcase her singing and language talents. (1Dreah is fully fluent in French and Spanish and speaks conversational Italian.) Inspired by Jazz great Sarah Vaughan, and with a foundation of classical piano and jazz vocal training, 1Dreah presents a unique blend of soul, jazz, and funk harmonies through her voice and songwriting. Her versatility as a performer and songwriter were applauded in the musical film, "A Kick in the Head," the winner of the 48-hour Film Project for Washington, DC. She wrote and performed two of the songs for the film, including the whimsical number, "Meal Ticket." 1Dreah has immersed herself in many cultures in such parts of the world as Monaco, Italy, France, Canada, Mexico and Central America. She is well positioned to appeal to music lovers throughout the world. Her latest single, "Ambassador," is a catchy dance tune that resembles a modern-day James Bond theme. Featured twice on both Oprah and Dr. Oz as a medical wellness expert, 1Dreah has mass appeal as an empowering motivator. Her ability to inspire permeates everything she does. 1Dreah is also the voice of luxury for LUXE TV, where her voice is heard reporting on luxury products, destinations and lifestyles on TV screens in 100 countries around the world. For four years 1Dreah served as the Spokesperson for Discovery Health Channel and hosted her own show, Amazing Baby Videos, in addition to anchoring the health news and producing a variety of prime time specials for the network. 1Dreah is the founder and current President of Pennington Empowerment Media which provides TV production, hosting services, on-camera training, online video production and web development. Pennington Media co-produced a 4-part reality series and DVD entitled "Simple Steps to A Balanced Natural Pregnancy" for LIME-TV and Gaiam which followed 1Dreah through her pregnancy and natural childbirth. 1Dreah recently had the honor to preside as Mistress of Ceremonies in Monte Carlo for "Grace - A Symbol of Change," a 3-day event commemorating the 30th anniversary of the death of Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco.
