Robin Gott was born and raised in North London and lived in the same house that Boris Karloff had lived in as a child, which maybe sparked his interest in acting. Robin went to The City of London School, which had an active theatre club with a fully-equipped theatre. Here he was introduced to Shakespeare, Pinter and Chekhov. After leaving school Robin took up his other interest and went to art school. After a few years of drifting from job to job -factory worker, book shop assistant, store detective, security guard, social security investigator and illustrator to name but a few, he started an apprenticeship at Hollywood Road animation studios in London. This led to work on feature, commercial and TV animation projects in England, Ireland, Denmark and eventually Sweden, where he now lives. In 2013 he made a return to acting on stage, and has appeared, and starred in a number of plays in Malmö and Copenhagen. He was spotted by a Swedish casting director and landed a small role in the BBC's "Wallander" series, filmed in Sweden and starring Kenneth Branagh. This sparked a love of film acting and he hasn't looked back since. He is married, has two teenage sons and loves running, cooking, fishing and reading crime novels.
