Twenty six year old singer / songwriter Roberta Howett came onto the international music scene in 2004 when she was chosen as a finalist to compete live on The X-Factor. Managed by Sharon Osbourne, Roberta also did an arena tour around the UK, including performances in Wembly Arena and Manchester Arena. Roberta's musical background began at age 6 and is grounded in classical training with The Royal Academy of Music, completing all examinations studying Piano. Her passion for performing led her to sing in many music venues around Ireland, and after competing on X-Factor, Roberta was encouraged to move to London. She began working with London based producers, while gigging throughout London's Bars, Pubs, and Music venues. Taking her time to develop her skills in writing and performing, she is ready to release her own material. While performing around London, Roberta met with Toni Castells, 'Momo', who asked her to feature on his album 'Unharmed'. With the launch of his album, Roberta and the Momo family gigged in many music venues in London, including Bush Hall. In April of this year Roberta sang her breakthrough vocal ballad Shadows, live on Ireland's well-known TV3 station. Shadows has also recently been play-listed on Dublin's Q102 radio station as well as on their sister stations in Limerick and Cork. Being influenced by her favourite artists, Minni Ripperton, Kate Bush, The Carpenters, Dionne Warwick, and Annie Lennox to name but a few, Roberta is a Pop artist, focusing clearly on her voice and the emotion of song. Roberta has made the move home to Dublin where she plans to release her music for the first time.
