Ian Taylor

Ian is an English Teacher and Writer of books and articles on film, predominantly those of the horror, science-fiction and fantasy genres. He has over thirty years of non-professional theatre under his belt, including acting roles in over 100 plays and a further 40+ as director. He and his productions have won several awards, including ones from the Greater Manchester Drama Federation, The Association of Community Theatre and Bolton Amateur Theatre Societies. In the late 1990s he was part of a film-making team of students at the University of Sussex who made the music documentary 'Non-Sense and Sensibility', focusing on and starring Captain Sensible AKA Ray Burns of The Damned. Around the same time he featured as an extra in the independent Doctor Who spin-off Auton 2 and in 2011 earned the leading role in the micro-budget drama Echoes.
