Joe Townley serves as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Producer of MY-Tupelo Entertainment. He is an accomplished executive team member with 20 years progressive experience and repeated success leveraging move-the-needle growth strategies to drive entertainment and intellectual property opportunities to the next level. Extensive expertise in creating, developing and producing content for reality, alternative and documentary programming . Joe Townley spent seven years at Clear Channel Entertainment Television (CCETV) rising to the position of President in 2004. During his tenure as President, Joe expanded the division's business to generate over $25 million in annual revenue. In this regard, he shifted the division's strategy to include program development and ownership of content. This resulted in the development of original programming for A&E (Biography), CBS (Top Spin), Discovery Channel (Vegas Turns 100) and Spike TV (Pros vs. Joes). During this period he also oversaw the division's strategy with Clear Channel Entertainment's Sponsorship and Marketing Divisions to assure seamless integration of brand objectives into the development of original media content. He also negotiated innovative distribution and production deals with companies such as Simmons Lathan Media Group (co-founded by Russell Simmons), Ventura Home Entertainment, Reach Media (Tom Joyner's multi-media company) and Granada Entertainment, which brought CCETV into arenas of television and home entertainment. In addition, Joe brought CCETV into a major leadership role within the sports programming and production community and acted as chief television sports consultant with many major sports franchises including the Championship Auto Racing Team (CART), United States Tennis Association (USTA), National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), Pro Cycling Tour and United States Ski Association (USSA). Prior to joining CCETV, he served as station manager of WBIS-TV CH 31 in New York, which he joined after spending 10 years at Madison Square Garden Network (MSG). He began working at MSG as Producer of Original Programming prior to being named Vice President of Programming and Executive Producer of the network. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Joe began his career in local news at WUSA in Washington, DC.
