Michael Kimbrew, an award-winning producer has been making movies for more than 15 years. Michael was born in Los Angeles, and he was raised in Houston, Texas. Michael became interested in acting and technology at a very early age. After high school, he returned to Los Angeles and started a career as a Stand-Up Comedian. He worked as an audience warm up for Nickelodeon, while putting himself threw film school. After returning to Los Angeles for only two months, he landed the role of an opening act for Eddie Griffin. He also worked on the hit TV show Malcolm & Eddie. His first role was in the featured film, High School High. He later landed a supporting role in the film Doing Hard Time opposite Boris Kodjo, and Crossover opposite Wayne Brady in which he played a basketball player. After this, he went on to produce the now classic Documentary titled, "Stop Snitching, Stop Lying, and he produced a documentary about the Multi-Platinum recording artist, The Game. The doors of opportunities kept coming. He starred in and served as Executive Producer of The Mansfield 12, a film directed by Craig Ross Jr. As both a writer and producer, Michael has produced several successful independent films and documentaries. Michael worked with United States Congresswoman Diane E Watson as her personal videographer. Michael's long list of films include the 2007 ABFF award winning film The Mansfield 12, which was awarded the Prestige's Honor of Best Picture and Best Screen Play. Michael along with selective members of the United States House of Representatives are currently working diligently to bring the story of Madam C J Walker to the Silver Screen. In March 16, 2010, Congressman Charles Rangel introduced HJ81, a Congressional House Joint Resolution, honoring Madam C. J. Walker. In December 2010, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg signed a bill designating the block of 136th Street between Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenox Avenue) and Seventh Avenue as Madam Walker and A'Lelia Walker Place
