Erim Metto was born in London to parents of Turkish Cypriot descent. He is married to fellow filmmaker Robbi Stevens and has two daughters. He is a Director/Producer and has directed or produced five feature-length films, six documentaries and 21 shorts. He is keen to demonstrate that untold stories are captured through the medium of film to allow future generations to have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of others. In 2012 he launched the Golden Island Film Festival and is in collaboration with other filmmakers looking to launch a new London based Television station. Erim Metto is also CEO of the TCCA, the first appointed Turkish-speaking Magistrate in the UK, chair of parent governors at an award-winning North London school, and a London Olympic torch bearer in 2012. He has served as a consultant for international projects from London to India, including three projects in Cyprus, one of which established an elders' facility in Lefke.
