Carolina Cerisola is a renowned soloist who thrives on performing to live music. She has mesmerized audiences around the world with her unique blend of Latin, burlesque tease, cabaret and improvisational dance techniques. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carolina applied her rhythmic gymnastics training and salsa dance experience to start her professional career in the United States in 1999, where she emerged as a World Salsa Champion with partner, Johnny Vazquez, landing them featured spots in Marc Anthony's music video, "I Need to Know" and an international tour for Bacardi. In 2002, Carolina was chosen as the headliner for the opening of Ivan Kane's legendary neo-burlesque club, Forty Deuce. The club quickly became the Hollywood hot-spot for celebrities. Her performances caught the eye of many artists including Sting, Justin Timberlake, Heath Ledger, Daniel Lanois, Josh Groban, Fiona Apple, and Prince among others. Carolina went on to be a featured artist in their videos, projects and international music tours, performing in Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall. Cerisola has appeared on a multitude of television shows and films including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Entourage, The Young and the Restless, Bravo's reality drama, Forty Deuce, Inland Empire, Undiscovered, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and Daniel Lanois' Here Is What Is featuring Brian Eno, as a guest judge on Bravo's dance competition reality show, Step It Up and Dance, FOX'S Snowfall, the Ellen Degeneres Show (with Sting) and Superstars of Dance. She has performed live around the world. Mentionable appearances include Lucha Vavoom, Fuji Rock in Japan, Nuit Blanche Festival in Canada, Cee-Lo Green's Vegas residency, and LoBerace at Planet Hollywood. Carolina is also the co-founder and co-director of FLOOR PRODUCTIONS, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the learning and practice of multi-cultural music and dance. Along with her business partner, Sascha Escandon, they curate authentic talent in the production of unforgettable experiences that are intended to entertain, inspire, and transcend. In 2012, Escandon and Cerisola co-founded THE OPEN FLOOR SOCIETY, a non-profit organization whose mission is to engage underserved youth in the art of improvisation. Fostered by a multi-cultural artistic community, it encourages self-empowerment through movement, dance, and music, and since its launch has worked with hundreds of young people through after-school programs, workshops, and exhibitions in communities that include South Gate, Lynwood, San Pedro, Compton, Rampart, Downey, and many more.
