Rick Siegel

Born in Chicago Rick Siegel started in music at the Old Towne School of Folk Music under the tutelage of Winfred "Win" J. Stracke, Bob Dylan and others. He went on to play in some well known blues bands in Chicago including The Nightcrawlers and Baby Huey and the Babysitters. During his late teens he chose to work with Volker Kriegel and Dave Pike rather than go to Vietnam. When he finally returned to the USA he started working with the earliest known computers to create art and music. Known as the grandfather of video on the Internet Siegel started his online career in 1978 using a beefed up Osborne computer. After helping the Viacom companies get their online presence established in the mid 1990's he went on his own and brought together the first 24 hour a day 7 days a week live music video broadcasts using his OnlineTV website.
