Demian

Demian is a Movie Maker, Photographer, Writer, Script Doctor, Director, Actor, Producer, Radio Host, Movie Editor, Puppeteer, Animator, Creator of Stereoscopic Photos and Videos, Vegan/Macrobiotic Cook, Gardener, Shiatsu Masseur, and Rabbit Wrangler. Demian has a Doctorate and Masters in Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He prefers working on projects that offer more than just entertainment, that are supportive of progressive ideals, and contain uplifting, empowering concepts. He has produced, written, directed and acted in theater productions in Boston and Amherst Massachusetts, San Francisco, and Seattle. He created a monthly, storefront film screening in New York City (1969-70) called Closet Cinema (because of the amount of floor space). Also in Amherst, Demian taught photography and movie making, and produced film screenings of animation, Dada, surrealist and experimental movies. His company, Sweet Corn Productions, was created in 1971, and offers progressive, spiritual and liberation-oriented radio, theater and movies. Demian resides in Seattle, where he makes small-scale movies, which can be produced without waiting a decade for financing, and maintain the right to final cut, which allows for personal, meaningful cinema.
