Subhash Mandal was born in the US and raised in Queens, New York. His parents are from Bihar, India. His first acting role was in a school production of the Little Drummer Boy at the age of 7. He attended Hillcrest High School, also known for graduates Ray Romano and Fran Drescher. Also attended Hunter College where he was a four year player on the varsity Volleyball team. He had a part time job at the famous Catch a Rising Star for a summer, thanks to his role model Joy Behar whom he still consults. He's done improv and sketch comedy for several years. Subhash studied extensively with Jace Alexander, his mentor and founding member of the Naked Angels theater company in NYC.
