Jaxon Stanford was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, having lived there all his life. He's always had an extremely strong interest in acting and public speaking, starting way back in elementary school! He first caught the acting bug when he played the lead in "The Swinging Pied Piper" in 6th grade. After eight "singin'and swing-in' performances, he was hooked! From then on, he took every chance to be involved in school productions, speech /debate, drama courses, Pantomime, and Improv., all throughout Jr. High and High School. Jaxon was always performing. Wanting to continue his passion, Jaxon majored in Communications in College with an emphasis in Public Speaking, Theatre and TV. Suddenly things came to an abrupt halt. His parents prompted him to work for the family business, as they felt earning a living as an actor or public speaker would be "about as difficult as winning the lottery." So the next 15 years were spent working for his father's business (a contracting company) and his own business (selling investments and insurance at StateWide Insurance Solutions). Several years ago, it hit him that he would never pursue his passion and dream of being an actor or speaker if he didn't take action now. So he started browsing the Internet for auditions and began finding small parts in films and commercials. It proved to be a very rewarding search! Since 2001, Jaxon has been involved in well over 80 film projects including feature films, industrial films, educational films, infomercials, TV commercials and short films. A few highlights: playing a New York Press Photographer in the Hollywood feature film of "The Game Of Their Lives" starring Gerard Butler and Patrick Stewart, released in 2005 at theaters nation-wide; playing in "Bill" with Jessica Alba, Elizabeth Banks, Aaron Eckhart, and Kristen Wiig; playing in Alice with Penny Marshall, Luke Perry, Alyson Stoner, and Lucas Grabeel; playing in "Kingshighway" with Eric Roberts, Burt Young, Edward Furlong, and Roma Maffia; playing in "The Return" with Tim Robbins and Rachel McAdams; starring in the feature film "Ezra Crane" in 2008; starring roles in the feature films "Queen Down" and "Kisses and Swords" both entered into various film festivals; principal role in the feature film "Death Of A Healer" in 2005; appearances in many more feature films in lead, principal or supporting roles; and appearances in many commercials in a principal role. Jaxon also returned to theatre and took a principal role in the play "Picnic" by Flood Stage Productions in 2005 and he also took a principal role in the play "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" by Act II Productions in 2006. And he played the part of Felix in "The Odd Couple" by Act II in 2007. It was extremely satisfying and exciting to get back on stage in front of a live audience once again! Jaxon now has an agent that keeps him busy auditioning and getting more paid work than ever! He has been Taft Hartlied into the AFTRA union, and so far has worked as a principal actor in more commercials in a principal role for National, Local, and Regional commercial spots. He is finishing up the lead role in the feature film "Ezra Crane" and is also beginning to shoot a lead role in the feature film "Stashed Away: The Silex Code". His auditions for film work do continue, and where they will lead... nobody knows! Jaxon continues to take Acting for the Camera classes whenever he can from Kim Swanson, CSA at Hanson Entertainment; from Carrie Houk, CSA at HH studios; from Scott-Arther Allen at the Creative Actors Workshop; and from Jay Kelley Acting on Camera at Dream Welder Productions. As a professional public speaker, Jaxon has traveled to high schools throughout the mid-west to speak with up to 600 9th graders at a time about Making High School Count. He enjoys giving out motivation and advice for these young people who are preparing for their future and embarking on their own dreams. Jaxon's biggest fans are his three children (Natalie, Hillary and Chad). His favorite movies are those that take you through many different emotional levels... like "Brave Heart" or "Midnight Express" or "Scarface". The actors whose work he admires most include Mel Gibson, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, and Sean Penn, to name just a few. Jaxon's main goal is to eventually move to a vibrant entertainment area (like Hollywood, Chicago, or New York) where he can pursue his acting dream full-time and go on auditions constantly. He has thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of working on the independent feature films: "Ezra Crane", "Abbey Of Thelema", "ThanXgiving: Dead Harvest", "Kisses and Swords", "Queen Down", "The Babysitter", "Death of a Healer", and "Wrestling Women vs The Brainiac" over the last few years and has learned so much from his fellow colleagues.
