Isaac Meisenheimer was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in April of 1978. Growing up in such a culturally rich environment helped to develop a love for the arts at an early age. An accomplished musician, Isaac worked with national touring acts for several years before beginning his work in film. Realizing the need for a solid education on the practical means to make a film, he began work as a Set Production Assistant on several large budget feature films. He also began directing his own short films at this time. On August 29th, 2005 Hurricane Katrina made landfall just east of the city of New Orleans. Like many others in the city, Isaac lost everything. The house sat in twelve feet of water for almost two weeks destroying short films, scripts and everything else it touched. Sitting in the terminal at LAX he opened the backpack at his feet. Inside was the only material item he still possessed, a hard copy of a script called "The Gatekeeper". Isaac returned to Louisiana and began working his way through the industry. An accomplished Assistant Director and 2nd Unit Director, Isaac is currently in preproduction on his directorial debut, "The Gatekeeper". Isaac still lives in New Orleans, but is ready to evacuate to higher ground at a moments notice.
