Pablo Motos

Born in Requena (Valencia, Spain) in 1965, this versatile showman has worked from young age on the local radio (Radio Requena) as newsreader and conductor. Shortly after his work at the local radio, he was engaged to work for the Spanish National Radio and then for Onda cero, another radio station in Spain broadcasting in the whole country. He worked in different broadcasts as writer and conductor. He has as well worked in the local TV, Canal Nou, as a presenter in a Cinema broadcast. Lately, in 1993, he participated in a Music Festival as a composer of the winning song, Saber Amigos. From 1994, he has worked for the media at several levels. He has been columnist for the local edition of a national newspaper, he has been script manager for different TV shows, he has worked in the theatre as well being actor and writer of the play. Three years ago, he was engaged by M80 Radio (Spain), along with his team with whom he has wrote several theatre plays and TV scripts, to conduct and present a radio programme every morning on working days. This programme where he continues working today is called No Somos Nadie (we are nothing), meaning they are nothing compared to the previous programme in M80 Radio that lasted several years due to its great success. Besides, this broadcast has been very successful from the beginning and they have signed for two years on. The philosophy of this programme is to analyse the world in a comic way, with newsreading, interviews, comments on magazines, jokes, music... and above all, humour. A month ago, he started presenting a weekly TV show with his team called "El Hormiguero" (the anthill) following similar guidelines to the radio programme and featuring effect shows. For this show he has incorporated new staff, two little furry ants that help him presenting the show and introducing humour. As a second activity on TV, he collaborates every Friday afternoon in the TV show Channel nº4, on Cuatro TV (Spain), with one of the most successful sections of his radio programme, "deaf moments", little messages you may hear in Spanish in a song in English or any other language, even if the lyrics don't say so. Besides all this work, he participates from time to time in films as a writer with or without his team.
