Remi Brun is a pioneer in motion capture. After a PhD in Biomechanics and a few year in the medical research field (deafness and balance disorders), in 1993, he was a partner in the creation of Actisystem (first mocap bureau in Europe), working on many motion capture projects, both for science and for the 3D entertainment world. Then, he has freelanced in London from 1997 to 2000 on various projects for MPC, Centroid, BBC, Clear, Red Alert, Pison... always as a Mocap supervisor. For the last 7 years (from the creation of Attitude Studio), he has been heading the Motion Capture Animation department (up to 40 people) at Attitude Studio in Paris, where he has setup a 700 m2 mocap set (with a Vicon 24 Cameras system). He was in charge of the motion capture of Renaissance, the first full "mocapped" 3D European feature, and amongst other projects, was in charge of the 26 X 26 minutes TV series Skyland and the 26 x 7 TV series Gallactic Football. He recently left Attitude Studio to keep going his way on new mocap-based techniques (as he did for the eye capture system, or the mocap facial approach...) pushing down boundaries, allowing new avenues to be explored. He created his own company, MocapLab in early 2007.
