The Rev Dr David Adamovich has had multiple careers. He holds a doctorate of education degree in exercise physiology from Columbia University, New York, and taught graduate students for a while. Later he managed an emergency medical practice. After being laid off from his post managing the medical practice he invested in a business running billiards halls. One night a customer at his hall suggested he have a go at knife throwing. Finding he had an aptitude for it he began entering and winning competitions. After five years of knife throwing as a sport he began turning his attention to performing it as an entertainment - or as it is known in the circus world "impalement art". He became a successful performer on the New York sideshow and burlesque scene and has gone on to perform at venues across America and internationally. He has worked with a number of different female assistants or "target girls". Among his first performing partners was actress Niabi Caldwell. He has performed his throwing act many times on a variety of television shows around the world. In 2007 he was successful in the early rounds of "America's Got Talent". He holds several world records for throwing knives around a human target. He is the co-author of a book about performing the impalement arts, which is titled "A Day on Broadway: The Art of the Knifethrower's Assistant". Adamovich also holds a certificate in theology from the now defunct Unity in Christ Christian Fellowship Ministry. He runs a wedding buiness from his home in Long Island, New York State.
