Kevin Shulman is an American award winning Feature Film and music video Director, Writer and Producer. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California into a military family, the youngest son of two public school teachers. He began film making in his adolescence and later went to film school for directing and cinematography at Brooks Insitute of photography in Santa Barbara . While in college he also worked for three time academy award nominee Diane Ladd, until being signed to the commercial production company Raging Nation as a music video Director at age 21. As a Director and Producer of over 100 music videos he has worked with such artists as Jason Derulo, The Game, Omarion, Billy Morrison and Academy Award winners, Three 6 Mafia. His videos have aired all over the world on MTV, BET and VH1, and racked up millions and millions of hits on Youtube. Kevin is also the Director of the critically acclaimed political horror short, Eyes of Samir starring Tony Todd , which was called the "The best horror short of 2007" by the Rue Morgue magazine and was also covered as being "provocative and even infuriating" by the Denver Post. Recently he directed the short film Paddys in the boot (starring renowned Irish Actors, Kevin Ryan and Eoin Macken), which has won awards at Boston and London International Film Festival and was shortlisted for the 2015 Academy Awards. This year, Kevin and his producing partner Jeremy Rosen announced production, via Deadline, of their financed film adaptation of The Family, a NY Times bestseller on the Charles Manson murders and incarceration of the Manson Girls . The film is written by award winning screenwriter Guinevere Turner (American Psycho) and is being helmed by Internationally acclaimed director, Mary Harron (American Pyscho). Kevin has recently extended his body of work to TV, with Her Dark Past, a feature film directed for Television and premiering on the Lifetime network in early 2017.
